Chapter sequence

If no specific chapter metadata is provided via ONIX 3.0 metadata feed, the system will automatically name chapters based on the sequence of your uploaded audio files:

File 1 will be titled Chapter 1

File 2 will be titled Chapter 2

File 3 will be titled Chapter 3

...and so on.

If you upload your entire audiobook as one single audio file, it will appear as one chapter, regardless of the book's actual length or internal breaks.

Customizing Chapter Names

To display individual chapter titles (e.g., "Title", "Prologue", "Chapter 1"), or to use a specific numbering style, you must provide this information via ONIX 3.0 and adhere to the file requirements connected to this. Read more about it in our Delivery Guide.
